What's for Dinner? Top Secret Chicken Divan Recipe
Here is what you will need to make Chicken Divan:
1 rotisserie chicken, meat taken from the bone and shredded. Or you can boil or steam about 4 chicken breasts and then cool and shred them.
2 14 ounce bags of broccoli florets
2 cans of cream of Chicken soup
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1 Tablespoon lemon juice (I left this out)
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese divided
1/4 to 1/2 cup of grated parmesean cheese
In the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish, place your frozen broccoli, lay the shredded chicken on top of that. Next, mix your sauce;
In a bowl, combine the soup, sour cream, mayo and one cup of shredded cheddar as well as the lemon juice. Mix well and pour over the layered broccoli and chicken.
Spread evenly and sprinkle with the remaining cup of cheddar cheese, the parmesan cheese and then pepper and paprika.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until all the cheese is melted and the casserole is browned and bubbly.
Serve this over or next to some steamed rice and/or some french bread and a green salad.
